The network infrastructure is vital for any ICT activity and it should offer the maximum reliability, means of transmission (cable, fiber) and the equipement, as well as a correct network architecture are of the maximum importance to avoid unwanted interruptions of the service.

Network Management

A network, independently of the high reliability it offers us, should be monitored to obtain enough information on its performance and skills. A correct network management is equivalent to have periodic data that allow us having audited permanently the infrastructure of communications.

Network Security

Perimetral security is a basic element that should be present in all network, regardless of if it is public or private. It is possible to implement it in any of the levels of the OSI communications layers: physical level, data link level, network level (IP) and transportation level (TCP).

Mobility

To provide mobility to the data communications there are 2 very widespread technologies nowadays: Wifi and VPN (SSL).

It is recommendable to hardening, provided that is been able to, the encrypt of data sent through a private Wifi network with one VPN SSL.

Telephony

Traditional voice services are coexisting with new technologies that allow the transportation of voice on IP data networks, so they allow cheapening costs.

More and more companies use its data links and networks for internal calls and/or they discriminate between different operators for the outgoing calls using technologies of IP voice: VoIP and ToIP.
